Passion and Purity*

by Elisabeth Elliot

i can still remember my former PP (prayer partner) bceL telling me that we shouldn't lose hope in finding the one. "ibig sabihin nun, kaya pang gumawa ni Lord ng lalaking tulad niya."

we couldn't have been better PPs. if i'm not mistaken, we both already had negative views on men then. but eventually, we also both came to the point where we told God, "Lord, ang galing, may lalaki pa palang ganito?"

people say that stories with happy endings only happen in fairytales. they also say that perfect love stories only happen in silver screens, that there are no prince charmings. i beg to disagree. as in every story, there is an introduction, a plot, a climax and a closure.

jim and elisabeth elliot's love story served as an inspiration and encouragement for me to continue to hope and pray and ask God to give me one heck of a love story. plus, lately i've been receiving forwarded text messages and words of wisdom that even more encourages me to continue to pray, hope and trust the Lord for that man, in His way, in His time.

to elisabeth elliot, to bcel, to the people who continually gives me hope and to God: thank you. :)

*a must-read! :D
